The Black River Arizona early September 1995, only a few small Rainbows. This stretch was heavily fished all summer long.

Early August 1996. This river bottom is a dead give away as to the location. One of the many huge, but very selective Browns. Three days of beautiful scenery and great fishing.

The Crew

About to descend on the Henry's Fork, August 1997

Both David and Shan had the good fortune to marry beautiful ladies with a love for fly fishing. We fished half a day and caught Rainbows, but most of the big ones either threw the hook or broke off. We also spent an afternoon on the Madison in the Park, lots of small Rainbows but no one caught anything large. A Better day on Slough Creek, with Dave landing a 19" Cutthroat. Bob fished Henry's Lake at mid-morning, a rather poor time, but did land two 14-16" Cutthroats before it turned off. Our best effort was on our last day, Trout Lake at sunset, many large Cutthroats.

Nancy stalks a moose

at the outlet of Lewis Lake, Yellowstone. Jackson Hole was our base and we fished the Green, Lewis Lake and lots of small streams, late July/early August 1998. Many rivers were muddy from heavy rains. We had limited success and had to work hard for that.

Lee's Ferry October 1998

It's everything anyone can say about it. Beautiful fat Rainbows, some of the strongest fish I've ever tied into. You definitely need to follow the advice of the experts on how to fish here.

Sunrise Lake, White Mountains, July 2003

20 inch Rainbow on Dave's Tiger Bugger.

Utah, October 2007

We hiked Bryce Canyon National Park and fished some Utah lakes. Ann landed several 20 inch Rainbows on Dave's Tiger Bugger. The first 2 she caught went 23 inches, but we didn't have the camera then.

Utah, October 2007

Bob with a 20 inch Rainbow on a mountain lake. We didn't launch until it got above 32 degrees.
